JOACHIM SCHIAVO

UX & UI RESEARCH LEAD

Joachim specialises in the moments that most directly determine whether a player stays: first-time user experience, onboarding design, and the critical early minutes of engagement that no amount of late-stage polish can fix.

 

With 5+ years running end-to-end research across indie and AAA titles, including work with CCP Games and NetEase, he's built specific expertise in translating complex player behaviour into decisions the design team can act on in the next build.

FOUNDER & RESEARCHER

Raphaël has over 18 years of hands-on experience in the games industry, spanning studio lead, publisher-side director, and creative collaborator roles across more than 40 titles.

He built Game Changr because he'd seen too many teams make expensive decisions without the player signal to justify them and too many research reports arrive too late to change anything.

At Game-Changr, he leads engagement scoping, workshop facilitation, and the strategic layer of every project.

Steve Bromley is a leading expert in the games user research field, having conducted hands-on studies with over 25,000 hours dedicated to observing and analyzing player behavior. He specializes in qualitative fieldwork and user feedback loops, integrating rigorous scientific methods into game development to provide reliable, actionable insights.

As a best-selling author on games user research, Steve is also a pillar of the professional community. He founded the IGDA’s mentoring scheme, which has successfully connected hundreds of aspiring researchers with top industry leaders.

Playruo

Playtesting Infrastructure

Playruo is a specialist cloud gaming platform built specifically for secure remote playtesting. Their infrastructure allows studios to test builds that require high-end hardware specifications with any participant worldwide, and to reach console players without physical hardware distribution, removing two of the most persistent barriers in remote research.

Security is enterprise-grade throughout: builds run in isolated AWS and Google Cloud containers that Playruo never accesses directly, streams and data are encrypted to healthcare-level standards, and every session includes per-player watermarking, IP-locked token access, and instant revocation capability.
